Our products are protected by intellectual property and copyright laws. By purchasing our products or subscribing to our network, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

This toolkit was previously released under the name: Branding Toolkit for Changemakers. The same terms and conditions apply.

No part of this toolkit may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form, or by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, without the express written consent of the author and publisher, except in the case of brief excerpts in critical reviews. This includes the illustrations. 

The requirement for reviews is full identification and credit of the author: copyright Anne Miltenburg (The Brandling). 

If you wish to share or (re)sell the toolkit or parts of the toolkit, whether printed or digital, in original or adapted form, as a stand alone tool or included in software or digital/printed files or publications, for commercial or non-commercial use, to any third party, you need to obtain express permission of the author and copyright holder in writing.

Brand the Change Trainers Network - Terms and conditions of use

These Terms of Use sets forth the Agreement between you, the Trainer, and The Brandling (“we” or “us”) regarding the use of our tools, content and exercises as outlined in the publication 'Brand the Change, the branding guide for social entrepreneurs, disruptors, not-for profits and corporate troublemakers' and the previous editions of the toolkit published under the name 'Branding Toolkit for Changemakers' in your own professional practice.

Please read this Agreement, because it contains important information about your role as a trainer to uphold our intellectual property and copyright. If you cannot agree to the terms, don’t use the materials and this network service. 

Your support matters! In adhering to our terms of use and paying the subscription fee of the network, you are helping us build a sustainable company that creates jobs with living wages and scales its impact across the world. With your support, we will be able to recover three years of research and development costs, improve the existing materials, translate them for other languages, and create more new materials and content. Updates and new materials will be available to you at no extra cost as part of the subscription. 

We've done our best to write up the terms of use for our tools in human terms. If you have any doubts about what constitutes fair use after reading these terms, please email us at info@the-brandling any time. 

If we can summarise our terms of use in two words, it would be: Play Fair. Here is what that means to us.

1) Please keep in mind that one membership to Brand the Change Trainers Network equals one licensed trainer. The license is extended to you as an individual subscriber, not to multiple people or companies (whether for profit, not for profit or educational institutes, online communities, etc). If you work at or own an organisation where multiple people aspire to train others with our tools, each individual trainer will need to subscribe to the community in order to be licensed. Your colleagues can then also benefit from all the knowledge in this community, can contribute to it, and vote for improvements on our tools, translations or other additions. If you want to license multiple trainers, we have discounted packages available starting at 5 users. Please email: info@the-brandling.com

2) You agree to uphold the copyright and intellectual property of our tools and materials. 

What does that mean exactly? With an active subscription to this community, you can

  • train an unlimited amount of participants using our tools (in person, not online). Please note that when you cancel your subscription, the license to train stops per the date your subscription ends. 

  • distribute the tools to your participants as paper copies of any size

  • insert the tools into your presentation slides

  • include low res files of the tools in your own (paper/digital) marketing materials for the promotion of your workshops/trainings

  • tell everyone who wants to hear it that you train people using the Brand the Change method, the Brand Thinking Canvas, or other tools from the book.

However, you cannot

  • cancel your subscription to this community and continue to train people with the tools.

  • share the tools on a server, website, social media, library or other storage method, or through digital or paper correspondence, with any third party (colleagues, friends, students, etc.), paid or free.

  • alter the design of the tools, alter or remove our logo or copyright line, or add your own logo or copy, without our written permission.

  • integrate the tools into online courses or in software without our explicit, written permission.

  • use product photos or images of workshop sessions created by The Brandling in your own promotional materials, without receiving explicit permission from us in advance of publication.

  • resell/redistribute/share the tools, in paper or online, with anyone else apart from your workshop participants or consultancy clients.

  • train other trainers on how to train others with the tools.

  • trademark or claim ownership of any part of the tools.

  • claim any social media handles or web domains related to our method or our tools.

3) Present your relationship with The Brandling and our tools and resources correctly. In your capacity as a trainer, you represent your own business, educational institute or organisation. You cannot present yourself as a representative of, affiliated with, or employed by, The Brandling. You can present yourself as a part of this network by using our trainers network label on your own promotional materials, such as a website, flyer, brochure, in social media, etc. Please find the labels als jpg or eps here. Please note the term certified trainer is reserved for those who successfully completed our trainers program.

Multiple trainers licenses
